Michigan Insurance CE Requirements:

Resident Producers: Must complete 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics.

Course Repetition: Courses cannot be repeated for credit within the same renewal period.

Carryover Credits: Up to 12 CE hours may be carried over to the next renewal period, provided the current period’s requirements are met. Excess ethics hours will count as general credits.

Flood Insurance: Producers selling flood insurance must complete a one-time 3-hour National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) training course.

Long-Term Care (LTC): Producers selling LTC insurance must complete an initial 8-hour training and a 4-hour refresher course every two years.

Annuities: Producers selling annuities must complete a one-time 4-hour annuity best interest training course.
