Kentucky Insurance CE Requirements:

Producers (Agents): 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics.

Adjusters: 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics.

Life Settlement Brokers: 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics and 3 hours in life settlement.

License Renewal: Due on the last day of the licensee’s birth month, every two years, based on odd/even birth year.

Course Repetition: Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2-year license term.

Carryover Credits: Up to 12 CE credit hours may carry over from one CE period to the next as general hours.

Special Training Requirements:

Annuity: Producers selling annuities must complete a one-time 4-hour annuity best interest training course.

Long-Term Care (LTC): Producers selling LTC insurance must complete an initial 8-hour training and a 4-hour refresher course every two years.

Flood Insurance: Producers selling flood insurance must complete a one-time 3-hour National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) training course.
