Missouri Insurance CE Requirements:

• Resident Producers:

  • License Term: 2 years from the date of license issuance.

  • CE Requirement: 16 hours of CE, including 3 hours of ethics, every 2-year license term.

  • Course Repetition: A course may not be repeated more than once in a 2-year license term.

  • Carryover Credits: All hours earned in excess may be carried into the next 2-year license term.

• Adjusters and Other Licensees:

  • Adjusters, title agents, and service representatives do not have CE requirements in Missouri.

Special Training Requirements:

• Annuity Best Interest Training:

  • Producers must complete a one-time 4-hour annuity course approved by the commissioner and meet carrier product training requirements before selling annuity products.

• Flood Insurance Training:

  • Producers selling flood insurance must complete a one-time 3-hour National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) training course.

• Long-Term Care (LTC) Training:

  • Producers selling LTC insurance must complete an initial 8-hour training and a 4-hour refresher course every two years.
