Pre-Licensing Education Requirements:

For each line of authority, candidates must complete:

  • Life – 20 hours (7.5 hours in a classroom setting)

  • Health – 20 hours (7.5 hours in a classroom setting)

  • Life & Health – 40 hours (7.5 hours in a classroom setting)

  • Personal Lines Property and Casualty – 20 hours (7.5 hours in a classroom setting)

  • Personal & Commercial Property and Casualty – 40 hours (7.5 hours in a classroom setting)

  • Title – 10 hours (classroom setting not specified)

Note: Candidates must complete the pre-licensing education before taking the exam. Proof of completion is required at the test center.

  3. Submit Fingerprints: Complete the fingerprinting process as required for background checks.

  4. Apply for Your License: Submit your application through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) or Sircon.

  5. Complete Citizenship Affidavit: Submit a notarized Citizenship Affidavit Form attesting to either United States citizenship or lawful presence.
