Louisiana Insurance CE Requirements:

Producers (Life, Accident & Health, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines): 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics.

Adjusters (Claims and Public): 24 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours in ethics.

Bail Bond Producers: 12 hours of CE every two years, including 6 hours on bail enforcement.

Title Insurance Producers: 12 hours of CE every two years, including 2 hours on consumer financial protection.

License Renewal: Due on the last day of the licensee’s birth month, every two years. Licensees with even-numbered licenses renew in even years; those with odd-numbered licenses renew in odd years.

Course Repetition: Courses cannot be repeated for credit within a 2-year license term.

Carryover Credits: Up to 10 CE credit hours may carry over to the next renewal cycle.
Special Training Requirements:

Flood Insurance: Producers licensed in Property, Casualty, or Personal Lines must complete a 3-hour National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) training course every renewal cycle.

Annuities: Producers selling annuities must complete a one-time 4-hour annuity best interest training course.

Long-Term Care (LTC): Producers selling LTC insurance must complete an initial 8-hour training and a 4-hour refresher course every two years.
