New Jersey Insurance CEThe New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance in Trenton requires all New Jersey Insurance License holders who were licensed before 2007 must take 48 hours of New Jersey Insurance CE with 6 hours of Insurance Ethics Courses ever 2 years. If you hold a New Jersey Insurance License and received it after 2007 you are required to take 24 hours of CE including 3 hours of Ethics Courses every 2 years. All Self Study final exams must be monitored by a disinterested 3rd party.

Additional New Jersey Insurance Continuing Education Requirements:

  • Flood - All New Jersey Insurance Agents who sell Flood Insurance must take a 3 hour Flood Training course.
  • Long Term Care - All agents who solicit LTC policies must complete a one time 8 hour Long term care training course followed by 4 hours of ongoing LTC training every 2 years thereafter.
  • Additional CE Credits cannot be carried over to the next reporting period and you cannot repeat courses for credit in the same renewal period.

New Jersey Insurance Continuing Education Courses are reported automatically to State Based Systems (SBS) at course completion.
