Hawaii Insurance CEAloha! Insurance Agents in Hawaii have to be prepared for everything. Tropical Storms, Volcanoes, and tourist play a role in what Insurance policies you write. Hawaiian Life/Accident and Health/Sickness as well as Property & Casualty licensees must complete 20 hours of CE every 2 years according to the Hawaii Insurance Division and Licensing Branch in Honolulu. Multiple lines agents in Hawaii must complete 30 hours of CE which include 10 hours of L&H courses and 2 hours of Laws as well as 16 hours P&C courses and 2 hours of laws.

Additional Hawaii Insurance Continuing Education Requirements:

  • Courses must be in the lines in which the Hawaiian Insurance Agent hold their license.
  • Life & Health Agents - must include 3 hours CE relating to insurance laws and rules
  • Ethics - Producers with P&C and L&H license must complete 4 hours of Ethics/Hawaii Insurance Laws and Rules. Producers with L&H or P&C must complete 3 hours of Ethics/Hawaii Insurance Laws and Rules.
  • Credits cannot be carried over to the next renewal period and Self-Study final exams must be proctored by a disinterested 3rd party.
  • Flood - All Hawaii resident insurance producers who sell flood insurance policies must complete a one-time 3 hour Flood training course.
