Colorado Insurance CEThe Colorado Division of Insurance in Denver requires Colorado Insurance Agents to complete 24 hours of Colorado Insurance Continuing Education every 2 years. In the Rocky Mountain state, Colorado Insurance Agents are required to take 3 hours of Ethics courses and at least 18 hours must pertain to the Colorado Insurance Agent's License type.

Additional Colorado Insurance Continuing Education Requirements:

  • All self-study CE courses must be proctored by a disinterested 3rd party
  • Flood - All Colorado resident property & casualty or personal lines producers who sell flood insurance are required to take a one-time 3 hour flood training course
  • LTCP - All producers must complete 16 hours of Colorado state approved LTC training prior to selling Long Term Care Policies. Of the 16 hours, 8 hours must consist of general LTC policies and 8 hours must pertain to Long Term Care Partnership policies. Half of the 16 hours must be taken in a live classroom environment with the remaining as Self-Study online.
  • All producers are required to take 5 hours of ongoing training regarding LTC policies every 2 years thereafter and must be Classroom training.

Colorado Insurance Agents cannot repeat courses within a renewal period.

Colorado Insurance Continuing Education Courses are reported automatically to Vertafore (Sircon) once you complete your course.
